Day 1 : Delhi Arrival Namaste. Welcome to India! Arrive at Delhi International airport. You will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
Day 2: Delhi—Jaipur After breakfast, drive to Jaipur (5.5 hours). Jaipur, the vibrant capital of Rajasthan, owes its name, foundation and planning to the great astronomer and warrior Maharaja Jai Singh II. The city is fondly called the "Pink City" due to the pink colored buildings and avenues. Day 3: Jaipur This morning, proceed on a half-day tour of Amber Fort. The final descent to this ancient city is made by elephant back—a truly memorable experience! In the fort, you will see magnificent palaces and halls covered with mirrored mosaics. The afternoon is free for leisure activities. Overnight in Jaipur. Day 4: Jaipur—Bikaner After breakfast, drive to the imposing walled city of Bikaner (7 hours). Bikaner is a city that has preserved its traditional aura of the medieval era. The red and pink sandstone buildings transcend the surrounding barren wilderness. Overnight in Bikaner. . Day 5: Bikaner—Jaisalmer Morning excursion to Deshnok to visit the Karni Mata Temple. This 600 year old temple is dedicated to Karni Mata, believed to be an incarnation of the Goddess Durga. In the afternoon, drive to Jaisalmer (8.5 hours). Arrive by late evening and check into your hotel. Overnight in Jaisalmer. Day 6: Jaisalmer After breakfast, proceed on a full day tour of Jaisalmer. Located in the heart of the Thar desert, Jaisalmer was founded by Rawal Jaisal in 1156 A.D. Visit the Jaisalmer Fort, an imposing sight of yellow sandstone towering magnificently over the city. Also discover the painstakingly latticed havelis or mansions with their grand facades. In the evening, experience an unforgettable camel ride through the sand dunes at sunset. Overnight in Jaisalmer. Day 7: Jaisalmer—Jodhpur Early morning drive to Jodhpur (7 hours). Upon arrival, check onto your hotel. Jodhpur is affectionately termed the "Blue City" and is the second largest city in Rajasthan. It is located at the edge of the Thar desert and known for its impressive fortified bastions. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour that includes the Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Museum and Old City. Overnight in Jodhpur. Day 8: Jodhpur—Udaipur After breakfast, drive to Udaipur (6 hours). En-route, stop at Ranakpur, a pilgrimage destination famous for its exquisitely carved Jain temples. Later, arrive in Udaipur and check into your hotel. Udaipur, with a wealth of enchanting lakes, is in oasis in an otherwise barren Rajasthan landscape. In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Overnight in Udaipur. Day 9: Udaipur—Delhi Proceed on a morning tour of Udaipur: City Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan; Jagdish Temple, housing a black stone image of Vishnu as Jagannath; and Sahelion Ki Bari, or Garden of the Maids of Honor. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Delhi. Day 10: Departure After breakfast, proceed on a tour of Delhi: Red Fort, a marvel of red sandstone; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India; Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, and Qutub Minar, the tallest stone tower in India. Also drive past India Gate, Parliament House and Chandni Chowk.
